Hi, I have a little question. Does it bad for a megadrive Pal 50hz to run a 60hz game (with everdrive for example)?

i love my OSSC. It's fantastic! it needed an adapter for the sound from composite but once i figured that out and added a composite switch box its great!

I been thinking about doing this but the cost with doing this or the HDD would be the same when it comes to loading times and how difficult the process would be, what would you recomend?.

I bought one of those Wii2Hdmi but black. It gets its job done, both audio and video wise. It had its weird moments, though: the first time the screen became green, returned back to normal and downscaled to 4:3, returned back to normal and in the end it became black, and once again everything got back to normal after few seconds; the second time it switched back and forth from normal to full green screen for few times, then everything got back to normal; everytime the tv is off and the console is on, the image takes a while before appearing when the tv is turned on.

Unfortunately I live in Australia and it isn't easy to get any of the reliable or good adapters the best 2 we got is that cheap one the Americans use or the hyperkin cable which in my opinion is not only over priced but worse then the cheap option the hyperkin cable makes everything to dark

I appreciate the depth of this video and its idea, BUT, i think leaving out component to HDMI is the hit to this video. Most if not all direct "ps2tohdmi" or "wii2hdmi" utilize composite inputs (ive even gone as far as spending $30/$35 and still would get composite results which $30-$35 is a bit much for such a thing considering the cables are $5-$15 on avg depending if you want OEM or not) I am gonna try component to HDMI as opposed to WII2HDMI, which will make the setup ugly but i dont wanna spend $100+ looking for the right WII2HDMI.

I have that first one (White with blue text) and what I noticed is that it actually only has diagonal lines when using 480p instead of 480i My tv can handle both so I'm obviously using the 480i since there is no noise for my tv there. I never had the noise specs show up on my tv so that might be a case by case thing. As you mentioned, it might be sth with the cables.. idk xD (Update: I weirdly haven't gotten the diagonal (on 480p) lines after changing the aspect ratio (in the WII settings) to 4:3 and then back to 16:9, been sitting in front of my tv for a good 15 minutes now without them showing up again)

3:29 yep, that's me! I have a Panasonic PVM which takes RGB over BNC. I have a wii RGB SCART cable and a female scart to BNC cable. Looks great. I also have a composite to HDMI adaptor to use with the standard wii composite cables and connect to an HD TV or if I want to loop out of the monitor to feed into my Elgato capture card and stream while playing on CRT.

NTSC has a faster refresh rate so it appears faster, but PAL has 625 lines of resolution as opposed to 525 for NTSC so PAL image is better quality. These extra lines of resolution on PAL is why PAL can play NTSC but not vice versa
